: About the journal

WSI-Mitteilungen is an academic journal with a focus on practical and policy-related issues. It provides up-to-date information on research results in the fields of labour, the economy and social affairs. WSI-Mitteilungen was first published in 1948.

The journal encourages an inter-disciplinary exchange of ideas and provides a source of reference for actors in the fields of labour relations, economics and practical policymaking. Its aim is to communicate complex information in a structured and accessible form. A double-blind peer review process guarantees the standards of scientific papers. Short evaluations, commentaries and practical examples reflect current socio-political problems, and proposed solutions are discussed.

Topics regularly addressed:

  • Labour market, social and distribution policy
  • Labour policy
  • Labour relations and collective agreement policy
  • Education and training policy
  • Gender relations and equality policy
  • Macroeconomics, economic and fiscal policy
  • European integration and globalization

WSI-Mitteilungen is published by the Institute of Economics and Social Research (WSI) of the Hans Böckler Foundation. The journal is published six times per year, with three issues on a range of topics and three special issues.
